Description

Organic White Brinjal Seed

Brinjal has many health benefits and is rich in nutrients. It is low in calories and fats. The majority of its contents are water with some calcium, fibre and carbohydrates. It’s high in total water-soluble sugars and free of reducing sugars. It also contains amide proteins and other nutrients. This is a good source for vitamins and minerals. Brinjal has a long history of being used for its ayurvedic medicinal benefits. It is also beneficial to those with diabetes. Brinjal has also been suggested to be a promising treatment for those with liver problems. After sowing, brinjal seeds can take up to two weeks for them to germinate. Because they don’t disturb the root system, container-grown seedlings can be used for field planting. After being transplanted, flowers usually bloom between 40 and 45 days. Breeding efforts have been a key focus in the development of disease-resistant, high-yielding and early-flowering brinjal varieties. The fleshy berry is either single or in large clusters.

Care and planting of Organic White Brinjal Seed

Sowing white brinjal seed

  • Select a tray for seedlings with medium-sized cells.
  • After moistening the cells with the cocoa-peat medium, pour it into them.
  • Two to three brinjal seed should be sown in each cell. The seeds of brinjal are small so they should not be planted in too deep.
  • Place the seeds onto the medium’s surface. Use a pencil tip to push the seeds inwardly.
  • Keep the seedling tray inside before they sprout.
  • The first week, water the seedlings with a spoon. Aim for two tablespoons of water per day. To allow the seedlings to absorb water through the drainage holes at the bottom, submerge them in another tray of water for 30 min.
  • Protect the seeds from direct sunlight and rain after they have been transplanted into grow bags. Make a temporary cover from the plastic sheet. You should water it with a light rain.

White brinjal seeds

This vegetable crop is a warm season crop. It can be vulnerable to extreme cold and yield deformation. The brinjal plant is tolerant of all soil types, but thrives in well-drained, fertile, slightly acidic and organically rich soil. For early yields, light soils work best. Clay-loam and silt-loam will give you a better yield. The pH level should be between 6.5 to 7.5. The pH level should be between 6.5 and 7.5. Apply mature compost such as A2 Desi Cow Pantchagavya Organic Growth Promoter or Organic Planting Mix to the soil before planting. Turn it into a depth 12″ (30 cm). To warm the soil, cover the planting beds with black plastic for 14 days.

Harvesting Organic White Brinjal Seed

It takes between 100 and 150 days to harvest young brinjal plants, while transplanting them takes 70-85 days. They should be harvested when brinjal vegetables are at the right size and colour to sell. It is important to do this before the vegetables begin to ripen. They take on a brighter colour and a shiny appearance when they reach adulthood. To supply fresh vegetables for the market, harvesting should be done at an early stage. You can either twist the fruit or cut it with sharp knives. If you want to increase your vegetable production, allow vegetables to mature to marketable size and shape. Avoid harvesting vegetables that appear dull. This is a sign that the vegetables are reaching an excessively advanced stage of maturity. This could lead to a decrease in quality and quantity of brinjal farm.

Safety precautions when growing brinjal

  • Avoid a late freeze of your brinjal plants.
  • Row covers are made from spun poly and cover plants.
  • Pollination can be difficult in cold weather or without enough moisture.
  • Cover brinjal plants with shade cloths when summer temperatures reach 100degF (37degC).
  • Tall and heavy-fruited plants can use stakes or cages.

Common problems affecting brinjal plants, and solutions

Brinkal plants can be affected by fungal and bacterial diseases. Verticillium Wilt is caused by soil fungus. This causes small, wilted plants that die. Blob end rot is another fungus that can cause ripening fruit to fall off. Eggplants are also susceptible to bacterial wilt. This is a disease that kills the majority of infected plants. There are several types of blight that can affect developing fruits and entire plants, leading to fruit loss or even death.
To prevent early infestations, you can use row covers and collars to protect your warm-weather crop. Regular inspections, insecticide soaps, and frequent inspections can help reduce pests’ effect on mature plants. Rotating where the brinjal plants are planted in your garden can reduce their impact on diseases and pests . Effective pest control is crucial to ensure healthy eggplant crops.
A viral disease called Little Leaf of Brinjal affects brinjal. This disease is spread by leafhoppers. Infected plants will produce light yellow-colored leaves. Good sanitation is essential to prevent this disease. Use organic biopesticides such as neem cakes to destroy infected plants.
